| I miss so many of you...off at college, life is busy...it's just the way life is, isn't it? Well, I'm still on my other site, but I still read the Xangas of those who still post.
I've been thinking that I could just continue to post a blog on here...maybe not. It's just one more thing to keep up with. Hmmm...decisions.
www.suezquesteen.com It's a pretty good site.
| If you are looking for me, wondering where I've been...I'm somewhere else. I have my very own site! Please visit me... www.suezquesteen.com How's that for easy to remember? | | |
| Well, It's obviously been a very busy new year! Here are some photos of what's been going on!

Courtney got a new car! A 2003 Trailblazer! Go Courtney!!!

A trip to Starbuck's showed me that Taylor and Courtney have rather normal feet, while Melissa has a very petite foot. Great shoes, girls!
DBS Fashion Show meant that lots of my favorite girls (and guys, James) were modeling some very pretty dresses and some great looking outfits...

Parker's team won their first game...Parker's job is always to block out the shooter after a foul shot...Oh, and Parker made one of our baskets! Hooray---good day, and great fun!

There is Parker (22) in the middle of the picture--trying to get to the ball, along with everyone else. Man, is he determined--it's a great shot, don't you think?

| What are you doing New Year's Eve? It's a wonderful song, and I'm just wondering what everyone will be doing. So, fill me in. Parker is having some friends over, upstairs, and I think Chip would like to have friends downstairs. I'm not sure, though. Lots of his friends have significant others who want to spend the evening with them, so I guess I'll know on Sunday. As for us, Mr. B and I will enjoy the festivities here, though we've had some wonderful invitations. It won't be long before the boys are grown and gone, and then we can do other things. Actually, we did other things in earlier years, and I must say that as much as I love being with my friends, I love even more watching my kids celebrate the new year arriving.
We have new games at our house, and I hope someone will come challenge us--We have a great buzzer game, like they have at Buffalo Wild Wings, and we have SceneIt Movies. Parker likes to think that he can beat me every time, but one of these days, I just might surprise him. Are you game? It's great for a group! Anyway, after the refrigerator is repaired, I'm going to head to the grocery and stock up on lots of goodies for the freezer and fridge, so I'll be ready for whomever comes our way.
Starbucks...anyone up for a cup of joe? Let me know!!
| Can you feel it in the air? It's almost Christmas!!! Listening to several people read the story of the birth of Christ from the Gospel of Luke this morning has just about made me cry. It's just almost more than I can fathom--this Savior of ours. Bernie and I watched a show on Discovery Channel about Jesus' genealogy. I thought maybe they were going to try to refute the Messiah, but they had done incredible research into what the life of Jesus was like, and spent a lot of time drawing from the Gospel account to show that there was a sister present at Jesus' birth. Probably, they say, from Joseph's first marriage--he was a widower. Anyway, the show also portrayed what life would have been like for Jesus--conceived out of wedlock, talked about by the community, made fun of by other children...Our sweet Jesus-- indeed He has known every temptation that we have known, for he was 30 years old before he really began his short stint as "Jesus, the Savior whom many wanted to kill. Jesus, the Son of God, who came to take away the sins of the world." Imagine, Jesus had to be a teenager---like many who will read this. Imagine, Jesus--before he became "Savior" had to endure the same things that you are experiencing and sometimes not enjoying right now. Imagine, Jesus--knowing that God had set him apart. Imagine, You--God has set you apart, not as Savior, but as a Spirit-filled child of God, empowered by the Father to do great things. And so...we celebrate the beginning of it all--the birth of a baby who would be King. Merry Christmas!
